This week let’s talk about wedding accommodations.

Everyone will always have differing opinions on what’s best and this week I’m not giving mine. This week I’m giving you all the accommodation options near Hodge Podge Lodge and letting you decide what combination will work best for you!

Well, first off, there’s Hodge Podge Lodge. Not only a stunning wedding venue but also a Bed & Breakfast! We have three rooms inside the main historic home that will each sleep two people. We also have a detached cottage that will sleep up to 6 people (double bed, sleeper sofa, two twin beds upstairs). Total we can have 12 guests stay with us on the property. And the best part about a B&B is breakfast! When you stay at HPL a chef will prepare a gourmet meal for you each morning you stay with us!

The cottage makes for a fun night with your bridesmaids the night before your wedding. And then our secluded honeymoon suite is ideal for the newlyweds! We also have two rooms across from each other that are perfect for both sets of parents. Having on site accommodations is definitely an added perk for weddings!

Sticking with the B&B theme there is another one just a few streets down from us. It is called Caroline House and is owned by Mary. And then a bit further down Hwy 105 is Bernhardt Winery.

Hotel wise we have three within 10 miles of us.

La Torretta Lake Resort and Spa is about 11 minutes from HPL. With a golf course, water park, and spa this is a great option for your out of town guests to stay and make a weekend of your wedding!

We also have a Best Western and Super 8 just 10 minutes straight down the road. These hotels are across the street from the lake and conveniently located off Hwy 105.

For the more trendy and hip crowd, Hodge Podge Lodge is only 35 minutes from the Waterway in the Woodlands. Packed full of shopping, restaurants, bars, and clubs, this may be a fun area to check into and then shuttle everyone from the hotel to your wedding! Some hotels may even offer this service for free.

If you know most of your guests will be out of towners you may want to consider reserving room blocks at hotels for them.  Make sure to include accommodations on your wedding website so everyone will know where to stay!
